Comedian Amber Ruffin has been removed from being a White House dinner guest.

Amber Ruffin's appearance at the White House Correspondents' Dinner was canceled, as announced by WHCA President Eugene Daniels.

The WHCA board unanimously decided to forgo a comedic performance this year to focus on recognizing journalists and supporting scholarships.

Ruffin, known for her work on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and "A Black Lady Sketch Show," had been announced as the entertainment for the April 26 dinner.

Ruffin revealed that WHCA advised her to maintain balance in her comedy, but she refused, saying she wouldn’t comply under any circumstances.

The WHCA previously canceled a comedian in 2019 after Michelle Wolf’s controversial 2018 performance, opting for historian Ron Chernow instead.
