Bachelor Alum Melissa Rycroft Arrested for Alleged DWI

Former Bachelor contestant Melissa Rycroft-Strickland, 42, was arrested in Southlake, Texas, on September 23 for allegedly driving while intoxicated and was booked into Tarrant County Jail.

She was released after posting a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 24, according to official records from Tarrant County.

Her attorney, Bret Martin, emphasized that Rycroft-Strickland is presumed innocent until proven guilty and requested that the public reserve judgment until the case proceeds through court.

Martin noted that the defense will review law enforcement actions, toxicology results, and arrest details to ensure due process before any conclusions are drawn about her alleged offense.

Rycroft-Strickland gained fame on The Bachelor season 13, where Jason Mesnick proposed to her before publicly breaking off the engagement to pursue runner-up Molly Malaney, now his wife.

Beyond reality TV, Rycroft-Strickland is a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and Dancing with the Stars champion, winning the show’s first all-star season in 2012 after competing in 2009.
