Jessie J Returns to Stage After Cancer Surgery With Son Watching

Jessie J returned to the stage at BBC Radio 2 in the Park, Essex, 11 weeks after her first breast cancer surgery, with her 2-year-old son Sky watching her perform live for the first time.

The singer revealed her April diagnosis of early-stage breast cancer, undergoing surgery in June, and later battling an infection that brought her back to the hospital in July.

Jessie shared her gratitude with fans, saying she felt like a child rediscovering her passion. She also thanked doctors but admitted she’s still recovering and must "take it easy.

A highlight of the concert was Sky wearing headphones, greeting the crowd at the mic, and singing “Happy Birthday” in a heartwarming moment caught on fan footage.

Jessie premiered her new song “Living My Best Life,” written just two weeks before her diagnosis, explaining that music is her healing force and a reason to keep moving forward.
