Jim Carrey will be honored with a special tribute at the 51st César Awards in Paris on February 27, celebrating his long and influential career in cinema and television.

The Honorary César Award, given to artists with remarkable achievements, has previously been bestowed upon Julia Roberts, David Fincher, Christopher Nolan, Cate Blanchett, and more.

In 2010, Carrey received France’s prestigious National Order of Arts and Letters medal for his outstanding contributions to the worlds of art, film, and culture.

Carrey’s rise to fame began with stand-up comedy and television, particularly In Living Color, before his breakout film year in 1994 with Ace Ventura, The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber.
