In a heartfelt message to fans, Jones, 51, expressed he was “crushed, sorrowful, and let down,” emphasizing that in over 30 years with the band, he’s only ever canceled a handful of concerts, making this decision particularly difficult.

The Welsh rocker clarified that his injury wasn’t related to singing but was instead “one of life’s bewildering enigmas,” and noted that doctors had advised against long-distance travel during recovery due to potential health risks.

Despite the cancellations, the band confirmed that their December UK tour dates are still expected to go ahead as planned, provided Jones continues to recover well through physiotherapy and rest.

Known for his strong work ethic, Jones said he prepares from morning until showtime to ensure every concert meets fans’ expectations and stated he wouldn’t risk performing unless he could give “100 percent” to the audience and his bandmates.
