‘Today’ Star Sheinelle Jones Returns After Tragic Loss

Sheinelle Jones will return to NBC’s “Today” show on Sept. 5 after the heartbreaking loss of her husband Uche Ojeh, who died in May from a rare brain cancer.

1. Savannah Guthrie announced her comeback, noting Jones and her family have endured immense pain since Ojeh’s passing earlier this year.

Guthrie said Jones calls her journey a “beautiful nightmare” and will share a moving message of hope with viewers during her return.

Uche Ojeh passed away on May 23 after battling glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain cancer, leaving behind Sheinelle and their three children.

The couple, married since 2007, first met at Northwestern University and shared three kids: Kayin, 15, and twins Uche and Clara, 12

Jones thanked fans on Instagram for their love and support, posting a heartfelt note with a red heart emoji following the announcement.
